Atte Jo Seero
Wheat Flour Halva — a fragrant, golden Sindhi dessert
Ingredients
| Wheat flour | 1 cup |
| Sugar, powdered | 1 cup |
| Ghee or butter | 1 cup |
| Cardamoms, powdered | 2–3 |
| Dry fruits (almonds, cashews, raisins, pistachios) | ½ cup |
| Rose water | 1 tsp |
Method
Heat ghee in a heavy-bottomed pan. Add cardamoms. Add the wheat flour and roast over low heat, stirring continuously, until it turns golden brown — approximately 15–20 minutes.
Dissolve sugar in 4 cups of water. Add this to the roasted flour mixture and let it simmer for another 10–15 minutes, until all the water is absorbed. Remove from heat and sprinkle with rose water.
Serve hot, garnished with dry fruits.
